Bio-Identical Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Many men over 30 are low in testosterone, with devastating effects on their bodies and lives. We're here to help you live your BEST life!

What is Testosterone? Why would it be low?

Testosterone is the main androgen hormone for men. It is what makes men, well MEN!

For many men, Testosterone production starts to decline in their 20s, and it's effects can be seen and felt as early as their 30s. There are many reasons for this - DNA altering agents our ancestors were exposed to such as Agent Orange, the huge influx of estrogens (like soy and growth hormones) in our food and environment (BPA in plastics) over the last few decades, and simple genetics. Overall, many men in their 30s today have the same Testosterone levels that we saw in men in their 70s just a couple of generations ago.

It's not just men - children are experiencing puberty earlier and women are experiencing menopause earlier, too.

Frequently asked questions

What are the Health Risks with Testosterone Replacement Therapy? There are minimal health risks with Testosterone Replacement Therapy, as long as it is managed by a trained medical provider. Our Provider is specially trained in hormone replacement and optimization. We require that every patient gets a complete lab panel before beginning therapy to ensure your state of health and make sure there aren't other issues that could be causing your symptoms. We want to ensure that we are only offering Testosterone Replacement Therapy to patients whom will benefit from it, and for whom it can be done safely and with minimal health risks. While we do use lab testing to help guide therapy and help with dosing, we feel that every person is different and their bodies function differently. We will treat YOU, not your lab values!

Do you accept insurance? We do not accept or bill insurance. Testosterone Replacement Therapy is often deemed "not necessary" by insurance carriers (as low testosterone will not kill you, just merely lower your quality of life) and they will not reimburse for it. You can use your HSA or FSA card to pay, however.

What is the process? First, you'll come in for your initial consultation. You'll be speaking directly with our Provider whom will ask about your health history, explain the nuances of Testosterone Replacement Therapy, and complete a physical exam. If you decide you want to continue with treatment, we will get labs. These typically take 2 days to come back. Once they are back, our Provider will reach out to you to discuss your results and you will determine together the treatment plan moving forward. This may be just testosterone, or it may include thyroid optimization, vitamin supplementation, or other medical management. Then we will start you on bio-identical, natural testosterone and check your labs again in 4-6 weeks. Those levels will help us determine if your dosing is correct, as well as assess your body's response to the hormone changes. If the dose is correct and there are no further issues that need to be addressed, you will not need labs again for a full year.
